A typical night

To deal with the nights, we have all decided to take turns staying with dad.  My turn was last night.  Typically he goes to bed around 9:30.  On a good night, he will sleep until 2 or so...  a good night.

Last night was not a good night.  He slept until 12 and then was restless the entire evening.  He talked all night to ???  He moved around (as much as he can move around) and constantly pulled the sheets off.

I might have logged a few hours.  It is an honor to take care of him.  I know he would do it for me (or at least make sure mom did..)  He always took care of the family.  Now it is our turn....

Jeff,

My dad has kept me informed on the medical situation with regarding your dad. I am grateful that you are blogging this journey. This allows me to a least journey with you from a distance (however disconnected that may be).

You dad played an important part in my life as a teen seeking God's direction for my life. I will be eternally grateful for his role. I , in a sense, am following in his footsteps as your are as well.

Jeff, I look back over the years and realize that you too were a lifeline through my high school years. I could have easily gone the wrong way with some of the friends that I had. It was your friendship (although you were several years behind me) the MVBC youth group, Pastor Bob and others that kept me on the path of pursuing Jesus. Thanks Jeff for your friendship those many years ago.

I am still Pastoring in Lynchburg, VA. I have found my passion in discipling men. It is the one thing that I cannot not do!

I hope to finish my doctoral dissertation from Dallas Theological Seminary in the next 9-12 months.

Our girls are getting closer to leaving our nest. Bethany is a Senior this year, Rachel and Junior and Rebekah is a freshman. I'm just getting old!

My email is jscott@heritagebc.net. Feel free but not pressured to drop me an email.

I'll talk with you soon. We are praying fro you, your family and Pastor.

wondering how things are going since you haven't updated in a while. we continue to pray for the family.

one day at a time.....

there are so many things that I could write. I've written long letters in my head at night when I should be sleeping. Then when it comes time to type....it doesn't flow so smoothly.
